Per a news release by The University of Cincinnati on June 30th, Lance Stephenson, ranked number 11 in the 2009 Rivals150 rankings, has committed to play basketball for Mick Cronin and the Cincinnati Bearcats beginning in 2009. Stephenson, the all-time leading high school scorer in New York state history, will suit up for the Bearcats at the start of the 2009-2010 campaign assuming he is deemed eligible by the NCAA.

One more top guard is off the list for the class of 2010.
Charmaine Tay (pictured), the No. 32 player in the ESPN HoopGurlz 100, has given a verbal commitment to Louisville.
"I wanted to play in the Big East," the Irvington, N.J. native said Wednesday. "I wanted to be able to play at home but not stay here. I felt it was the best fit."
Tay, a 5-10 point guard, chose Louisville over Georgetown, Duke, Georgia Tech and Florida State.

BIG EAST Announces St. John's Matchups |

QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's and the BIG EAST Conference announced the 2009-10 league matchups for the Red Storm men's basketball team on Thursday.
St. John's will take part in home-and-home series with Louisville, Pittsburgh and DePaul during the upcoming season, and will meet the remaining BIG EAST league opponents once either at home or on the road.
In 2009-10, the BIG EAST will once again play an 18- game conference schedule, in which teams face 12 opponents once and three teams twice. It will mark the third year of the 18-game schedule, which began for the 2007-08 season. All 144 regular-season conference games will once again be televised, either by CBS Sports, the ESPN family of networks or ESPN Regional Television.
